the human genome project

The human genome project was an international scientific reacher project that led to the discovery of new important details about genes and their function, and many other medical advances. This project wad established to determine the sequence of the human genome and understand it more in depth, and identify the genes that it contains. Because of the genetic discoveries made during the human genome project, gene therapy is possible today. Gene therapy is a process that corrects disorders in specific cells. Without the discoveries made during this 13 year long project, gene therapy would not be possible.
